What began as a daughter’s response to her father’s Parkinson’s diagnosis became a mission to change lives. Determined to make a difference, Bethany turned concern into action and attached a donation box to her bicycle and began pedaling – – one mile, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time. Supported by an incredible community, her efforts grew into the Bike Box Project, which became an official non-profit in 2016. Today, the grass roots organization serves as a beacon of hope for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers across eastern North Carolina, providing programs, resources, connection, and a community where no one has to face the journey alone.
